QuavernOS · Aurora (2026)

A calm, durable operating system.

QuavernOS is a NetBSD-based system by Quavern, built below the noise for people who run open systems. It is in active development; the first Aurora images publish today.

What it is

QuavernOS packages the parts of NetBSD that fit the way Quavern works: open software, developer tools, modest network services, and public-data systems. It is one composable base with optional profiles a machine adds as its role changes.

It targets amd64 and arm64. The desktop is a Quavern-branded Xfce, and the base stays small and inspectable. There is no bundled AI model, no telemetry collector, and no default remote login.

Built below the noise: calm, durable, and made for people who run open systems for the long run.
